Extended Producer Responsibility is the guidelines designed by the Central Pollution Control Board to protect the environment and manage pollution by making diverse Brand Owners, Producers, and Importers responsible for plastic manufacture. The Extended Producers Responsibility ensures that the amount of plastic waste is generated in the environment is recycled the same.

To reduce Pre-consumer and Post-consumer Plastic Waste, the Extended Producers Responsibility focuses on enforcing these rules on a wide range of Producers, Brand Owners, and Importers. This policy was designed by the Central Pollution Control Board to protect the growing volume of plastic waste and plastic waste generation.

Goa State Pollution Control board (GSPCB) has been working for ensuring the smooth flow of Extended producer responsibilities on Producers, Brand Owners, and Importers. They are doing research to make the rules and regulations more effective for a healthy environment. They are also advising the State government on better policies for Extended producer responsibilities.

Step 1: Registration on with Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) & Goa State Pollution Control board (GSPCB)

Step 2: Collection of Waste through an authorized waste management agency

Step 3: Collection & Aggregation of Relevant Documents

Step 4: Quarterly Report Submission to CPCB

Step 5: Submission of Annual Report on Extended Producers Responsibility Liability Fulfillment.
