Extended Producer Responsibility norms, rules, and laws are imposed on various Brand-owners, Producers, and Importers by splitting the obligations for recycling and end-of-life disposal of plastic waste and packaging waste produced by them. Extended Producer Responsibility was established to protect and reduce the spread of plastic pollutants in the natural environment, as well as to reduce the impact of plastic pollution on the environment.
